Gorman, CA (November 16, 2024) On Friday morning, 3 people were hurt and hospitalized after a horrific multi-car crash on I-5.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACFD), the 6-vehicle collision happened at about 11:16 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5.

Reports say that a six-vehicle collision, including an overturned big rig, disrupted traffic on southbound Interstate 5 near Gorman late Friday morning.

Authorities say that the crash occurred just north of Templin Highway. Firefighters responded to the scene after being dispatched at 11:16 a.m., arriving by 11:27 a.m.

Officials cleared the scene at 12:41 p.m. Moreover, the incident resulted in three individuals being transported to the hospital. Fortunately, no one was trapped in the vehicles. Torres did not provide details on the patients’ genders or conditions.

A Sigalert was issued at 11:19 a.m., leaving only the right lane open. This led to significant traffic congestion, with backups extending to Vista Del Lago Road. California Highway Patrol spokesperson Officer Erik Larsen reported that the Sigalert was lifted at 5:14 p.m.
