1 Dead in Sacramento Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 5 and Interstate 80

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 5, 2023) – Sunday night, a disastrous motorcycle crash on Interstate 5 and Interstate 80 killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5, just south of the Interstate 80 connector.

According to reports, a Harley Davidson rider traveled behind a GMC. Then, for reasons still unknown, the driver veered left and struck the center median. Then, the motorcycle struck a pole and ejected the rider out in front of the GMC.

As a result, the GMC ran the motorcyclist over. Officers declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the GMC driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with investigators.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
