Injuries Reported in San Antonio Motorcycle Accident near Funston Place and Mahncke Park

SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 4, 2024) – Monday night, a disastrous motorcycle crash near Funston Place and Mahncke Park injured 1 person.

The crash happened near Funston Place and Mahncke Park at about 9:30 p.m.

According to reports, as a car turned onto Funston Place, it hit a 24-year-old man riding a motorcycle north on Broadway with two other motorcyclists.

Police reported that two motorcyclists, who were further up the street, turned around and approached the accident scene. 

Meanwhile, the motorcyclist who was struck was taken to the hospital in critical condition. 

Also, the authorities have not yet indicated whether the driver of the car involved will face charges, although one person has been detained. SAPD closed Broadway in both directions while emergency crews worked at the scene, but the lanes have since reopened.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
