3 People Hurt in Potter County Auto Accident on US 87 near Givens Avenue

POTTER COUNTY, TX (May 30, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a disastrous head-on crash on US 87 near Givens Avenue injured three people.

The incident happened at around 1:00 a.m. on northbound US 87 near the Givens Avenue exit.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a southbound minivan that was traveling in the northbound lanes collided head-on with a northbound passenger vehicle.

Moreover, responders transported the two drivers who sustained serious injuries, and a passenger of the minivan with minor injuries, to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Texas Department of Public Safety continued to investigate the crash.
