2 People Hospitalized in Porterville Auto Accident on Highway 65 near Highway 190

PORTERVILLE, CA (December 6, 2023) – Friday night, a disastrous head-on crash on Highway 65 near Highway 190 injured two people.

The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Highway 65, north of Highway 190.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound 2007 Honda Civic traveling on the southbound lane collided head-on with a southbound 2019 Dodge Challenger. Also, officers reported that the Dodge lost control and failed to avoid the collision.

Moreover, responders airlifted the driver of the Honda to a local hospital with major injuries. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the Dodge to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
