2 People Hurt in Merced Auto Accident on Highway 152 near Lodi Road
MERCED, CA (July 10, 2024) – Monday night, a disastrous DUI crash on Highway 152 near Lodi Road injured two people.
The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Highway 152, just west of Lodi Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound Camry rear-ended a Nissan. Then, the force of the crash pushed both vehicles to lose control and crash.
Moreover, responders rushed the unrestrained passengers of the Camry, both children, to a hospital with major injuries. Also, the female driver of the Nissan and the 25-year-old female driver of the Camry sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the Camry for DUI.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
