CHP Investigates Fatal 2-Vehicle Crash on US Highway 101
San Jose, CA (May 25, 2024) On Friday afternoon, a person was killed in a big rig crash on Highway 101.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 2-vehicle crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 101.
Reports say that a semi-truck crashed with a sedan. Officials say that the collision closed 2 lanes of the highway north of Blossom Hill Road.
Officials say that a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, officials say that the big rig spilled 15 gallons of fuel.
Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and have not released additional information at this time.
