Injuries Reported in San Diego Major Crash on San Pasqual Valley Road near San Diego Safari Park
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 9, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a disastrous auto accident on San Pasqual Valley Road near San Diego Safari Park injured 6 people.
The incident occurred at about 4:08 p.m. in the 15000 block of the San Pasqual Valley Road near San Diego Safari Park.
Officers confirmed that the crash injured at least six people — four of which remain in critical condition.
Then, a total of 55 personnel responded to the scene, as well as a helicopter and multiple rescue vehicles.
When the crews arrived, they found two severely damaged vehicles, a pick-up truck and a sedan that had crashed in the eastbound lanes of San Pasqual Valley Road.
Meanwhile, SDFD confirmed that a total of six patients were taken to the hospital following the crash.
Then, four people suffered life-threatening injuries. Moreover, the extent of the injuries for the other two patients remained unknown at this time.
The crash also led to road closures for the rescue and clean-up of debris. They have since been reopened.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
