2 People Hospitalized in Humboldt County Plane Accident on Shelter Cove Beach

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (July 11, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a disastrous aircraft crash on Shelter Cove Beach injured two people.

The incident happened at around 12:32 p.m. on Shelter Cove Beach approximately 200 yards from the beach.

According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, a small aircraft crashed into the beach for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, officers confirmed that an occupant of the aircraft managed to swim to the shore while a second occupant was recovered from the water. Then, paramedics transported the two patients to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
