2 People Hurt in Phelps County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 44 near Mile Marker 173
PHELPS COUNTY, MO (November 11, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a disastrous three-vehicle crash on Interstate 44 near Mile Marker 173 injured two people.
The incident happened at around 1:20 p.m. on Interstate 44 near Mile Marker 173.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2011 Nissan Ultima rear-ended a 2020 GMC Acadia that slowed down for congested traffic. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Acadia to collide with a 2012 Toyota Camry ahead.
Responders rushed the 28-year-old male driver of the Nissan and a male passenger of the GMC, to Phelps Health in Rolla, both with serious injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crash.
