2 People Hurt in Elsinore Auto Accident on Interstate 15 near Main Street

ELSINORE, CA (November 6, 2024) – Monday morning, a disastrous two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 near Main Street injured two people.

The incident happened at around 6:00 a.m. on southbound Interstate 15, south of Main Street.

CHP Officer Mike Lassig said that a 2022 Infinity Q60 rear-ended a 2016 Toyota Corolla for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Toyota to crash into the center divider. 

Also, the Infinity crashed down a dirt embankment, struck a Eucalyptus tree, traveled through a freeway perimeter fence, rolled over, and struck two parked vehicles on private property.

Paramedics rushed the driver of the Infinity to Inland Valley Medical Center with major life-threatening injuries. Also, authorities said that the driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was not transported.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
