Injuries Reported in Cornell County Auto Accident on Highway 9
CORYELL COUNTY, TX (March 6, 2024) – Saturday night, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Highway 9 injured 3 people.
The head-on crash occurred at around 11:55 p.m. on Highway 9.
According to reports, a 24-year-old Killeen man driving a 2012 Honda Scion passenger car east on the highway.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Copperas Cove man driving a 2018 Audi passenger car drove west and approached the Honda. However, the Honda failed to drive in their lane, drove into the path of the Audi, and crashed head-on.
Then, responders transported both drivers for incapacitating injuries, and both are believed to have been impaired. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old woman in the Audi failed to wear a seat belt and was taken to Scott and White ER in Temple for incapacitating injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
