5 People Hurt in Santa Barbara Traffic Accident on Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon Road

SANTA BARBARA, CA (July 9, 2024) – Monday morning, a disastrous 2-vehicle crash on Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon Road injured five people.

The incident happened at around 10:53 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 154 and Foxen Canyon Road.

According to reports, a pickup truck with a cattle trailer struck a second pickup for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders transported two occupants of the second pickup to Santa Ynez Airport where they were airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries. Then, paramedics transported a third occupant of the second pickup to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries. Also, two occupants of the pickup with trailer sustained minor injuries and refused further treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
