Injuries Reported in San Diego Auto Accident on Kearny Mesa Road and Convoy Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 1, 2023) – Saturday, a disastrous 2-car crash on Kearny Mesa Road and Convoy Street injured 4 people.
The incident happened at about 6:40 p.m. on Kearny Mesa Road in the 3800 block of Convoy Street.
According to reports, a Toyota Tacoma was driving north on Kearny Mesa Road. Then, the driver hit a curb, went airborne, and landed on a Honda sedan that was stopped at one of the drive-thru windows.
As a result, responders took the 23-year-old male Tacoma driver to a nearby hospital for major injuries.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old female Honda driver and two elderly passengers suffered minor injuries.
Then, the SDPD traffic division investigated the incident and remained on scene as of 9 p.m. Also, officers suspect that the driver of the Tacoma was driving under the influence of alcohol.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
