Dion Kelly Dies after Two-Vehicle Crash on 37th Avenue and Grand Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (January 26, 2022) – Wednesday morning, 63-year-old Dion Kelly died in a two-vehicle crash on 37th and Grand avenues.

Subsequently, police arrested the 20-year-old Richard Anderson and charged him with two counts of endangerment and 2nd-degree murder. 

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened on January 26.

Phoenix Police said a sedan collided with an SUV at an extremely high rate of speed prior to the crash. 

Kelly died at the scene. Both vehicles had female passengers who suffered minor injuries.

Moreover, a video from the scene showed two vehicles involved, including a Salt River Project vehicle that was heavily damaged on its roof.
