Pickup Truck Crashes into Power Pole and Catches Fire in Dinuba, One Fatality Reported
DINUBA, CA (November 28, 2018) – One person was killed following a fiery crash Wednesday morning in Dibuba, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened around 10:38 a.m. at the intersection of Porter Avenue and Floral Avenue.
CHP officials said a white Chevrolet pickup truck blew through a stop sign, drove straight into a large power pole and burst into flames.
A coroner was called to the scene and declared one person dead. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
The wrecked car was registered out of Parlier, according to an initial dispatch.
There were no reports of any power outages in the area.
CHP believes that speed and weather played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
