Officers Investigate Fatal Bicycle Crash on I-44
Wichita Falls, TX (September 1, 2023) – On August 27, 31-year-old Dillon Young sustained fatal injuries following an Interstate 44 collision.
According to the authorities, Young was riding a bike with no lights northbound on the freeway, near the 3rd St. exit in dark clothing.
A truck came up from behind the victim and rear-ended the victim. The driver involved told the officers he couldn’t see Young on the road.

Young’s body was sent for an autopsy to identify if he was impaired by drugs or alcohol when the accident happened.
Similarly, the semi-truck driver also consented to a blood draw to determine impairment.
