22-Year-Old Dillon Alexander Long Dead after Nissan Crash on Escalante Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (May 12, 2023) – Thursday night, 22-year-old Dillon Alexander Long died in a crash on Escalante Road.

The fatal crash on Escalante Road in Tucson happened around 8 p.m. on May 11.

Tucson Police said Long was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Escalante Road when he was hit by the driver of a Nissan hatchback, who was crossing Prudence Road from a stop sign.

Long was wearing a helmet at the time, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still waiting for test results, but say ‘failure to stop or yield’ by the Nissan is the major contributing factor to the crash.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of this crash is ongoing.
