Corning, CA (April 15, 2021) – On Sunday, 24-year-old Diego Rodriguez Hernandez of Corning was injured in a head-on crash on Houghton Avenue.
 
The Corning accident happened at around 8:40 a.m. near Fig Lane.
 
Apparently, 45-year-old Jason Michael Stewart, also of Corning, drove a 2000 Honda Civic and swerved into the opposite lane, striking a 2010 Ford Fusion head-on.
 
Hernandez, the Ford driver, sustained minor injuries.
 
On the other hand, Stewart sustained major injuries, and was transported by ambulance to Enloe Medical Center in Chico. He was not wearing a seat belt during the accident.
