Pedestrian Killed in San Bernardino Hit-And-Run Accident, Diego Cachua Arrested

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (October 5, 2021) – Sunday, authorities arrested Diego Eduardo Cachua, 25, in a deadly DUI crash on Waterman Avenue.

According to San Bernardino Police Department, the hit and run accident happened at around 10:41 p.m.

Moreover, it occurred on Waterman Avenue and Bryant Street.

Reports revealed that a car struck a pedestrian. The fatal crash took place near Rialto Avenue. Then, the vehicle fled without stopping.

Subsequently, authorities managed to stop the car. Indeed, they located the assailant on the 10 at Euclid Avenue in Ontario.

Furthermore, responders rushed to aid the pedestrian. They transported him to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Even so, the victim later died.

Meanwhile, officers booked the vehicle driver, Diego Eduardo Cachua, in San Bernardino County jail.

Apparently, they performed a sobriety test on him which he proceeded to fail.
