Diane Martini Killed in Placerville Accident on Highway 50

 
PLACERVILLE, CA (April 20, 2021) – On Thursday, Diane Martini died in a head-on crash on Highway 50 near Ice House Road.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Diane Martini drove an eastbound 2017 Jeep Cherokee.
 
Then, she exited a curve at excessive speed and veered towards the westbound lanes of the road.
 
Meanwhile, 39-year-old Michael Tillman driving a 2012 Volvo Tractor pulling a flatbed trailer failed to avoid her. This resulted in a head-on crash.
 
Furthermore, the collision pushed the jeep into a guardrail. Meanwhile, the tractor veered right and crashed down into a dirt embankment, where it came to rest.
 
Moreover, responders pronounced Diane Martini dead at the scene. Paramedics transported Michael Tillman to Marshall Hospital for treatment.
 
The Placerville accident is under active investigation.
