Longview Woman Diana Valenzuela Killed in State Highway 154 DWI Crash [Wood County, TX]

Wood County, TX (September 25, 2023) – Diana Valenzuela, 34, from Longview, died, while Diovanni Cisneros, 25, also from Longview was injured following a State Highway 154 DWI crash Monday.

According to the accident report, Leopoldo Guerrero, Jr., 24, of Gilmer, was eastbound approximately 13.3 miles west of Gilmer when veered off the roadway to the north and overturned. 

Guerrero’s passenger, Valenzuela, died in the accident.

The responding medical team took Guerrero’s other passenger, Cisneros, to CHRISTUS Mother Francis in Tyler for incapacitating injuries. 

Guerrero was transported to a Quitman hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

Investigating officers said Guerrero was found to have been intoxicated when the collision happened. 

As a result, Guerrero has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault and was booked into the Wood County Jail on September 18. He bailed out for $150,000 the next day.
