Pregnant Woman, Teen Injured in Orange Car Accident
ORANGE, CA (March 4, 2019) – A pregnant woman and her daughter were injured following a car accident Monday night in Orange.
The crash happened around 6:06 p.m. near the intersection of 57 Freeway and 5 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound black 2010 Ford Focus hit a concrete wall on the right shoulder.
The driver, a 32-year-old Diana Alejandra Reyes, complained of pain to the left shoulder, chest and abdomen. In addition, her 13-year-old daughter Ana Noreli Ramos-Reyes sustained leg injuries and chest pain.
Both patients were taken to UCI Medical Center for proper treatment. In addition, police reported that Reyes is 19 weeks pregnant
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. At this time, alcohol and drugs have not been ruled out as possible causes.
