Dewayne Ratcliffe Identified as Pedestrian Wearing Only Underwear, Fatally Struck by Car on 60 Freeway in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, CA (October 26, 2019) – A man died after struck by a car early Saturday morning in Riverside, authorities said.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of 60 Freeway, a little more than 400 feet east of the Orange Street Bridge.
According to reports, the man was wearing just boxer shorts when a 2011 Toyota Camry struck him. He died upon impact.
The Riverside County coroner identified the victim as Dewayne Ratcliffe, 35, of Riverside.
The driver pulled over and cooperated with authorities.
Ratcliffe’s body was reportedly struck by an unknown number of vehicles, according to the CHP.
Further investigation of this fatal incident is underway.
