Devon Singleton Arrested in Startling Head-On Crash on East Cypress Road and Knightsen Avenue [Oakley, CA]

OAKLEY, CA (October 15, 2024) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Devon Singleton after a startling head-on crash on East Cypress Road and Knightsen Avenue.

The incident started at around 6:10 p.m. when authorities spotted a stolen car on Jersey Island Road.

According to reports, authorities deployed to slow down the car, but the suspect continued traveling. Then, the suspect vehicle collided head-on with a patrol vehicle that was positioned to block the suspect and to protect a gas station on East Cypress Road and Knightsen Avenue.

Moreover, the officer inside the patrol vehicle managed to exit the vehicle and arrest the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Singleton. Then, paramedics airlifted Singleton to a hospital with unknown injuries. Also, responders transported the officer and a female passenger of the suspect to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued investigating the crash.
