Jamestown Police Chase Ends with Crash on Rosy Ridge Court

 
JAMESTOWN, CA (September 29, 2020) – On Saturday, authorities arrested Devon Hensley following a dirt bike crash on Rosy Ridge Court.
 
According to reports, dirt bike rider Devon Hensley led authorities on a 45-minute pursuit.
 
The authorities revealed that a CHP officer spotted a multicolored dirt bike without a headlamp, taillights, or a license plate. The officer spied the said rider at the Chip’s Chevron Gas Station parking lot in Jamestown. However, as the rider rode his bike and traveled down Highway 108 to Rawhide Road, the officer also followed. Then, he attempted to stop Devon Hensley. However, the dirt bike rider fled.
 
The pursuit continued at a speed of 65 mph from Jamestown to Sonora. Then, the chase ended when Hensley crashed on Rosy Ridge Court, just south of Big Hill Road in the Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge area.
 
CHP spokesperson Steve Machado clarified that it was the second crash. “The rider traveled through several posted stop signs and crossed over the double-yellow lines multiple times. During the chase, the dirt bike crashed into a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle. After the impact with the cruiser, the pursuit continued.”

After the second crash, the authorities arrested 20-year-old Devon Nathaniel Hensley of Sonora without incident for felony evading arrest, hit and run, and driving on a suspended license. Machado also confirmed that Devon Hensley sustained minor injuries in the crashes.
 
Furthermore, the authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
