1 Person Dead in St Louis County Auto Accident on Interstate 64 near Timberlake Manor Road

ST LOIUS COUNTY, MO (November 14, 2024) – Tuesday night, a devastating wrong-way crash on Interstate 64 near Timberlake Manor Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:42 p.m. on Interstate 64 near Timberlake Manor Road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 2006  Chevrolet Express traveling in the eastbound lanes, collided head-on with an eastbound 2023 Chevrolet Silverado. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Silverado to collide with the 2023 Peterbilt truck in the adjacent lane. Then, the Chevrolet Express continued traveling westbound, and collided with a 2014 Toyota Avalon.

Moreover, Monarch Fire Protection District personnel pronounced the 79-year-old male driver of the 2006  Chevrolet Express, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the 24-year-old driver of the Chevrolet Silverado with moderate injuries, and his 23-year-old male passenger with minor injuries, to Mercy Hospital for treatment.

The events leading to the crash remain unclear at this time. The public will be notified when additional information becomes available.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
