1 Person Dead in Solano County Auto Accident on Interstate 80 near State Route 113

SOLANO COUNTY, CA (September 26, 2023) – Sunday night, a devastating two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near State Route 113 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. on Interstate 80 near State Route 113.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an eastbound Nissan Sentra traveling at a high rate of speed struck the left rear of a Nissan Maxima that changed lanes in front of the vehicle.

Moreover, officers confirmed that a female passenger of the Maxima who was in her 20s, died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported four people to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
