CALAVERAS COUNTY, CA (August 13, 2023) – Friday night, a devastating two-vehicle crash on Highway 4 near Telegraph Road killed three people.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. on Highway 4 near Telegraph Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2020 Honda and a 2020 Lexus collided head-on for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders transported a total of six people, ages 2, 4, 30, and 37, and another two ages 72, to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Then, officers confirmed that three people, two females, and a male, died in the crash.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
