1 Person Dead in Lancaster Auto Accident on Avenue J-8 and 20th Street East

LANCASTER, CA (March 17, 2024) – Saturday morning, a devastating two-vehicle crash on Avenue J-8 and 20th Street East killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:42 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue J-8 and 20th Street East.

According to Detective Ryan Ament of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster station, a southbound Mitsubishi Outlander ran a red light and collided with a westbound Infiniti G35. Then, the force of the crash partially ejected a female passenger of the Infinity.

Moreover, responders rushed the ejected woman to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
