1 Dead in Victorville Auto Accident on La Mesa Road and Amethyst Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (July 22, 2024) – Sunday, a devastating traffic crash on La Mesa Road and Amethyst Road killed 1 person.

The crash happened at about 1:47 a.m. at La Mesa Road and Amethyst Road in Victorville.

According to reports, a blue 2002 Ford Ranger rolled over and landed on the grass at Liberty Elementary School. 

Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and administered CPR to a male occupant found outside the vehicle. The other vehicle, a black 2021 Toyota Camry, sustained significant rear-end damage and stopped in the roadway facing west on La Mesa Road.

The area surrounding the accident was closed for several hours. At approximately 6:00 am, coroners arrived to retrieve the body from the overturned vehicle.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
