FRESNO, CA (April 23, 2023) – Friday night, a devastating rollover crash on Friant Road near Willow Avenue killed 1 man.

The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Friant Road near Willow Avenue.

According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Joseph Bianchi, a vehicle lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a barbed wire fence, and rolled over multiple times. Also, the force of the crash ejected a male occupant of the vehicle into the roadway.

Moreover, responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported a 32-year-old Coarsegold woman and a 29-year-old Visalia woman with major injuries, and a 34-year-old Fresno woman with minor injuries to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
