1 Person Dead in Bakersfield Auto Accident on Caliente Bodfish Road near Caliente Creek Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 13, 2023) – On Monday, a devastating rollover crash on Caliente Bodfish Road near Caliente Creek Road killed one person.

The incident happened on Caliente Bodfish Road just north of Caliente Creek Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2010 Kenworth flatbed tow truck towing a Mazda at an unsafe speed failed to negotiate the roadway. Then, the vehicle lost control, veered off the roadway, and rolled over onto its roof.

Moreover, responders pronounced the Kenworth driver, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the passenger of the Kenworth and a passenger of the Mazda to a hospital with minor injuries.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
