LOS ANGELES, CA (July 18, 2023) – Monday morning, a devastating pedestrian crash on 405 Freeway and Lennox Boulevard killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 3:45 a.m. when a vehicle struck a pedestrian near Los Angeles International Airport. It occurred on the northbound side of 405 Freeway at Lennox Boulevard, said the California Highway Patrol.

According to reports, the victim appeared to be hit by several vehicles. However, the authorities haven’t determined the total number of vehicles involved.

When the authorities arrived, they declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the authorities issued a SigAlart that shut down four lanes on the northbound side of the freeway during the investigation.

Eventually, the SigAlert was canceled at about 6:20 a.m. as officials reopened the lanes.
