1 Dead in Watsonville Pedestrian Accident near Green Valley Road and Pinto Lake Road

WATSONVILLE, CA (November 20, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a devastating pedestrian crash near Green Valley Road and Pinto Lake Road killed 1 person.

The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. near Green Valley Road and Pinto Lake Road in Watsonville.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a 35-year-old Freedom man was driving a gray 2006 Toyota Camry south on Green Valley Road when he collided with a 53-year-old pedestrian from Royal Oaks. 

The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP stated that alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified. 

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
