FREMONT, CA (October 15, 2023) – Saturday morning, a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 680 near Auto Mall Parkway killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:15 a.m. on southbound Interstate 680, near the Auto Mall Parkway offramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved at least three vehicles, including a vehicle that overturned and caught fire.

Moreover, officers confirmed that at least one person died in the crash.

Furthermore, the incident blocked northbound Interstate 680, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
