DALLAS, TX (March 12, 2024) – Saturday night, a devastating multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 near Lamar Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around midnight on Interstate 30 near Lamar Street.

According to reports, a vehicle traveling in the right lane veered sharply in an attempt to return to the highway after seeing an exit-only lane. Then, the vehicle struck the attenuator separating the exit ramp from the main road and caused a chain reaction crash involving two more vehicles.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 36-year-old male driver of the first vehicle, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported a passenger of the first vehicle to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
