AUSTIN, TX (April 25, 2023) – Monday afternoon, a devastating multi-vehicle accident on Highway 290 near South View Road killed 1 person.

The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. on West Highway 290, a mile west of the Y at Oak Hill near the South View Road intersection.

According to reports, three vehicles collided in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. Then, paramedics airlifted two patients to Dell Seton Medical Center and St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries. Also, authorities transported two more patients to St. David’s South Austin and Dell Seton Medical Center, both with serious injuries.

Furthermore, authorities asked everyone to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.
