1 Person Dead in Leander Auto Accident on Sheila Drive and US 183

LEANDER, TX (April 16, 2024) – Monday night, a devastating motorcycle crash on Sheila Drive and US 183 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:43 p.m. near the intersection of Sheila Drive and southbound US 183.

According to the Leander Police, a motorcycle and a van collided in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist died in the crash. Also, authorities said that all parties that were involved in the crash remained at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed Southbound US 183 and portions of Sheila Drive for several hours but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Leander Police continued to investigate the crash.
