1 Person Dead in Chula Vista Motorcycle Accident near Palomar Street and 5th Avenue
CHULA VISTA, CA (July 29, 2023) – Thursday night, a devastating motorcycle crash near Palomar Street and 5th Avenue killed one person.
The incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. near Palomar Street and 5th Avenue.
According to Sgt. Anthony Molina, a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed struck a vehicle that was turning on the 400 block of Palomar Street.
Moreover, responders rushed the male motorcyclist to UCSD Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the vehicle driver to a hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
