LOS ANGELES, CA (March 24, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, a devastating hit-and-run crash on 8th Street and Alvarado Street.

The incident happened at about 12:54 a.m. on 8th Street and Alvarado Street in Westlake.

According to reports, as a 35-year-old man walked in a marked crosswalk, a westbound driver on 8th Street struck him.

As a result, the pedestrian succumbed to injuries at the scene. Officers revealed that the victim was a homeless person and his identity remained undisclosed.

Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene and the authorities have no description of him/her or the vehicle involved.
