1 Person Dead in Los Angeles Bicycle Accident on 117th Street and Broadway
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 25, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a devastating hit-and-run crash on 117th Street and Broadway killed one person.
The incident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on 117th Street and Broadway.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a white Chevrolet camper van with blue stripes struck a bicyclist and then fled the scene, dragging the victim for about a mile.
Moreover, responders located the victim at the intersection of El Segundo Boulevard and Broadway, in the Athens neighborhood. Then, paramedics pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the hit-and-run vehicle fled the scene southbound on Broadway and was last seen making a left turn on 124th Street, followed by a right turn on Broadway.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained at the scene. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the LAPD continued to investigate the crash.
