1 Person Dead in Van Nuys DUI Accident on Victory Boulevard near Columbus Avenue

VAN NUYS, CA (August 8, 2023) – Sunday night, a devastating head-on crash on Victory Boulevard near Columbus Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Victory Boulevard east of Columbus Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an eastbound vehicle veered across the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the second vehicle, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the first vehicle, and his female passenger with moderate injuries to a local hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers arrested the driver, who is believed to be in his 30s, on suspicion of DUI.
