EL PASO, TX (October 24, 2023) – Sunday night, a devastating head-on crash on Interstate 10 at Mile Marker 56 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on Interstate 10 at Mile Marker 56.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle traveling the wrong way on the westbound lanes collided head-on with a westbound tractor-trailer.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the wrong-way driver died in the collision. Also, authorities reported that the tractor-trailer’s driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
