DOS PALOS, CA (July 25, 2023) – Thursday, a devastating head-on crash on Highway 33 near Christian Avenue killed 2 people.

The incident happened on Highway 33 south of Christian Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound 2020 Honda traveling in the southbound lane collided head-on with a southbound 2015 Nissan. Also, officers said that there were indications that the

Nissan’s headlights may not have been activated while the Honda appeared to be traveling in the wrong lane to pass another vehicle.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 75-year-old female driver of the Nissan and the 18-year-old male driver of the Honda, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
