2 Dead in Conroe Auto Accident on FM 1314 near Crighton Road

CONROE, TX (February 18, 2024) – Friday night, a devastating head-on crash on FM 1314 near Crighton Road killed 2 people.

The incident happened at about 6:15 p.m. on FM 1314 near Crighton Road in Conroe.

Reports said that a Kia Forte was going south on FM 1314. Then, it moved into the northbound lanes for an unknown reason and crashed with a 2024 Honda Civic.

Then, the Kia caught on fire. Later, firefighters managed to contain the blaze. Moreover, a man and woman were also rescued from the vehicle.

Afterward, the man was declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the woman went into cardiac arrest. Thus, paramedics attempted to save her, but she later also succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, responders took a woman in the Honda Civic to a local hospital in critical condition. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the victim.

Also, FM 1314 was shut down near the crash, and it has since been reopened.

The authorities continued to investigate the crash and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the incident.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
