PLAYA DEL REY, CA (June 5, 2024) – Tuesday night, a devastating head-on crash on 8800 Vista Del Mar killed 1 person.

The crash occurred in the 8800 block of Vista Del Mar, just before 8:00 p.m.

Emergency crews responded to a severe crash near Dockweiler Beach, finding multiple injured individuals and one person dead inside a wrecked vehicle. Three people were transported to the hospital in critical condition, with at least two passengers requiring extrication from the vehicle. The injured included a 30-year-old woman, an 18-year-old girl, an 18-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old boy.

Reports revealed that there was significant damage to a blue sedan and a white SUV, with the blue sedan appearing completely totaled. The scene was strewn with auto debris, leading to the closure of the roadway as law enforcement managed the situation.
