1 Person Dead in Riverside County Auto Accident on Van Buren Boulevard near Jurupa Road

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (October 13, 2024) – Friday night, a devastating DUI crash on Van Buren Boulevard near Jurupa Road killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 10:26 p.m. on Van Buren Boulevard, south of Jurupa Road.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the incident involved a suspected DUI driver.

Moreover, responders pronounced one of the drivers, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver and passenger of the other vehicle to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, officers believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

Meanwhile, the crash closed Van Buren Boulevard, between Jurupa Road and 56th Street, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
