DALLAS, TX (December 10, 2023) – Friday night, a devastating DUI crash on University Hills near Interstate 20 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. on University Hills near Interstate 20.

According to the Dallas Police Department, a southbound vehicle attempted to make a left into a parking lot and collided head-on with a northbound vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Moreover, responders pronounced the male driver of the first vehicle, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the female passenger of the first vehicle to a hospital with critical injuries. Also, officers confirmed that the driver of the second vehicle sustained critical injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, authorities stated that they plan to charge the driver of the second vehicle with Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxicated Assault.
