Woman Dies After Auto-Pedestrian Crash on 59 Feeder at Little York in Harris County
Harris County, TX (August 29, 2024) – Late Wednesday night, a woman died in a crash on 59 Feeder at Little York.
The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on the northbound 59 Feeder at Little York.
Preliminary reports suggest that the pedestrian was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk in a poorly lit area when the accident happened.
Emergency responders from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and EMS arrived to find the woman lying on the roadway.
Despite immediate CPR efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. An off-duty Houston Police Department officer, who came upon the accident, took over life-saving efforts until paramedics arrived.
Authorities report that the minivan driver remained at the scene and attempted to assist the victim.
They are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
